Matthew Cruz began their work experience in 2015 as a Food Server at HULAS ISLAND GRILL. Matthew then worked as a Food Runner at Lost Lake Cafe and Lounge from October 2018 to January 2019. Following that, they worked as a Restaurant Manager at Revolution Pizza Music from September 2018 to February 2019, where they focused on improving the online presence and boosting online revenues. From February 2019 to May 2021, they worked as a Software Engineer at Opanga Networks, primarily working with python test code and developing UI for their software management system. In May 2021, they joined Bitwise Industries as a Solutions Engineer, where they helped develop internal processes, provided support for the solutions and business development teams, and built documentation for training purposes. Matthew was then promoted to Senior Solutions Engineer in August 2022, taking on additional responsibilities of leading client calls and mentoring apprentices. Most recently, Matthew joined OP Labs in June 2023 as a Developer Support Engineer.
Matthew Cruz completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Matthew attended the institution from 2014 to 2018.

Ethereum will enable the greatest change in human coordination since the birth of the internet, and through the Optimism protocol, OP Labs is here to help bring it to the masses.
