Eric Shobe

OCP Project Lead - Hardware Management at Open Compute Project Foundation

Eric Shobe has a diverse background in hardware engineering and management. Starting their career at Sun Microsystems in 2007 as a Member of Technical Staff, they moved on to Oracle where they held various roles including Senior Member of Technical Staff, Principal Hardware Engineer, and Hardware Engineering Manager R&D. Eric then worked at Salesforce as a Hardware Engineering Manager before joining Dropbox in 2018 in the same role. In 2020, they transitioned to the Open Compute Project Foundation as an OCP Project Lead focusing on hardware management.

Eric Shobe completed their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2003. Eric then pursued a Master of Science in Computer Science at Washington University in St. Louis from 2004 to 2006.
