Waichung Ngai

APAC Project Lead at Open Compute Project Foundation

WaiChung Ngai has accumulated extensive experience in the technology industry, starting as a Network Support Engineer at Siemens Advanced Engineering in 1998. WaiChung then progressed through various roles at iAsiaWorks Inc., JARDINE ONE SOLUTION (JOS), and JOS SYNERGY. Ngai eventually joined Dell Technologies as a Senior Director, leading the Extreme Scale Infrastructure division across Asia Pacific & Japan. Subsequently, they transitioned to Lenovo as the Director, overseeing CSP & Hyperscale projects for the APJ region. Currently, Ngai holds the role of APAC Project Lead at the Open Compute Project Foundation, focusing on regional collaboration and initiatives within the APAC community.

WaiChung Ngai completed a Higher Diploma in Computer Studies from City University of Hong Kong in 1996. Later, from 2003 to 2005, WaiChung Ngai obtained a B.Sc. (Hons) in Computing from the University of Greenwich. Lastly, from 2006 to 2008, WaiChung Ngai earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Strathclyde, specializing in Business Administration and Management.
