Ami Cholia

Ami Cholia is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in digital strategy, editorial leadership, and press management. Currently serving as Senior Communications Lead at Open Society Foundations since January 2020, Ami previously held the position of Director of Communications at Women In Need, Inc. from April 2016 to January 2020. Other notable roles include Senior Digital Strategist at NARAL New York/National Institute for Reproductive Health, Account Supervisor - Digital at Edelman, and Digital Manager and Press Officer at New York City Council. Ami also co-founded and edited AltTransport, worked as a writer for HuffingtonPost.com, and held various positions in journalism and copywriting. Ami holds a Master's degree in Journalism from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from The University of Texas at Austin.
