Gary Yang

Gary Yang currently serves in Product Operations at OpenAI as of November 2024. Previously, Gary was the Head of Product at Placeholder, a real estate marketplace and SaaS company, where responsibilities included leading product, operations, and engineering. Prior experience includes working at Uber from March 2015 to April 2021, initially as a Product Manager in Self-Driving Operations for Uber ATG, focusing on vehicle testing and public road operations, followed by a role as Global Product Operations Lead for the redesigned Rider App, overseeing go-to-market coordination. Earlier positions include User Researcher at Doblin, Senior Consultant at Monitor Deloitte, and Field Production Engineer at Devon Energy. Gary holds a B.Sc. in Mining Engineering from Queen's University.
