Jim Blomo

Jim Blomo is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in engineering and product management. Currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff at OpenAI, Jim focuses on model customization and fine-tuning. Previously, Jim held the position of Head of Product & Engineering at Outschool, where responsibilities included developing product strategy and scaling the engineering team on a JavaScript/Typescript, GraphQL API, and React stack. Before Outschool, Jim was the Head of Engineering at SigOpt, leading cloud-hosted modeling tool development and establishing a product roadmap prior to the company's acquisition by Intel. Jim's career also includes significant roles at Yelp, where Jim managed a large engineering team and contributed to key product features, and at UC Berkeley, where Jim taught courses in web architecture and data mining. Educationally, Jim holds a B.S. in Computer Science & Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
