Karen Prince

Karen Prince serves as the VP of People Operations at OpenAI since October 2024, bringing extensive experience in building and scaling People Operations teams in high-growth environments. Previously, as VP of People Operations at Rivian, Karen developed the inaugural People Operations team while the company expanded from 2,000 to over 16,000 employees. Throughout a career spanning over two decades, Karen has held leadership positions in prominent companies such as Rubrik, Pure Storage, and Adobe, where responsibilities included overseeing employee experience, compliance, operations, and driving significant HR integrations during mergers and acquisitions. Karen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources from San Jose State University.
