Louis Brandy is a highly experienced engineering professional with a diverse background in technical leadership. Currently a Member of the Technical Staff at OpenAI since June 2024, Louis previously served as Vice President of Engineering at Rockset, where leadership culminated in the company's acquisition by OpenAI. Prior to that, Louis held the position of Director of Engineering at Facebook from February 2011 to November 2021, effectively managing hybrid roles and building teams to address critical challenges. Earlier experience includes serving as a Software Engineer at Pittsburgh Pattern Recognition, one of the early employees in a startup environment. Louis Brandy earned a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Florida, completed in 2004.
