Simar Virk has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Simar is currently working as a Mechanical Engineer at Opener since October 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Continuous Improvement Engineer at Peel Plastic Products Ltd. from May 2019 to August 2020. Simar also has experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer at the University of Toronto Formula SAE Racing from June 2018 to May 2019. In addition, Simar worked as a Product Design Engineer at Pillar 28 from September 2017 to March 2018.
Simar Virk attended the University of Toronto from 2016 to 2021, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to that, they completed the International Baccalaureate program from 2014 to 2016, earning an IB Diploma. Simar also holds additional certifications in Machine Learning from Coursera (obtained in July 2020), SOLIDWORKS Associate from Dassault Systèmes (obtained in December 2017), and Basic & Advanced Machining from George Brown College (obtained in October 2017).
