Drew Newell

Drew Newell currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at OpenField, beginning in March 2024. Prior to this role, Drew was a Senior Software Engineer at Living Security from July 2021 to February 2024 and at Uplift.ltd from February 2019 to July 2021, focusing on backend engineering for a diverse range of clients. Drew founded feature_search in July 2017, leveraging AI for search-by-image and visual recommendations for online retail. Previous experience includes Engineering at BetterWorks, co-founding Giftwhip and Loclly, and holding roles as an Investment Banking Associate at Linch Capital and Stephens Inc., as well as an Analyst Intern at Regions Financial Corporation. Drew holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, completed in 2006.
