Rui Gomes

Rui Gomes has been working in software engineering since 2014. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Freelance Software Engineer at ruigomes.me. In 2015, they worked as a Software Engineer at Welkio, where they developed features for the API that powered the Welkio iPad app. In 2016, they worked as a Software Engineer at Ad3, where they developed a tracking platform and a multi-tenant management platform. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as a Software Engineer at DecisionTree. Since 2018, they have been working as Head of Engineering and Lead Software Engineer at OpenNode, where they have led a backend refactor, developed the OpenNode merchant dashboard, developed the OpenNode checkout experience, created custom analytics experiences, and hosted workshops on integrating the Bitcoin's Lightning Network into web applications.

Rui Gomes obtained a Master in Informatics and Computing Engineering from the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto between 2012 and 2017. Rui also holds a Certificate in Advanced English from Cambridge English Language Assessment.
