Michael Johnson has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering. Michael started their career as a Co-Op Software Engineer at Intel in 1995 and then joined Oregon State University as a Systems Engineer in 1992. After that, they worked at HP for fifteen years as a Software Design Engineer. In 2015, they joined Hewlett Packard Enterprise as a Software Design Engineer and later moved to Rackspace as a Senior Software Developer in 2016. In 2015, they also started working at OpenStack, where they held the positions of Octavia Project Team Lead (PTL) from 2015 to 2020 and Designate Project Team Lead (PTL) from 2020 onwards. Most recently, they have been working at Red Hat as a Principal Software Engineer since April 2019.
Michael Johnson holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Oregon State University. Michael has also obtained additional certifications including Certified OpenStack Administrator from OpenStack in October 2016, and Certified Scrum Product Owner and Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance in April 2012.
