Sandy Ono is the Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for OpenText. Sandy is responsible for driving marketing and communications worldwide, from brand to demand, to deliver growth for the company.
With more than 20 years of experience as a business transformation leader in the high-tech industry, Sandy offers a passion for marketing, analytics and leading world-class teams from strategy to execution.
Prior to joining OpenText, Sandy spent 6 years leading Growth Marketing at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), a $27B company. Sandy drove marketing strategy, customer analytics, marketing performance management, eCommerce, SMB Marketing, digital demand, revenue operations and competitive Market intelligence. In setting the annual marketing strategy, Sandy’s shaped Go-to-Market strategies, spearheaded M&A efforts and drove organizational change to meet market demands. In addition, Sandy was one of the chief architects of HPE Marketing’s digital transformation. She scaled the eCommerce business and helped to build an in-house digital agency. Sandy thrives at leading multi-year transformation efforts through a data-led, digital-first approach.
Prior to HPE, Sandy spent 12 years at Deloitte Consulting in the Strategy & Operations practice focused on customer and market strategy. She collaborated with teams of all sizes to accelerate shareholder value at Fortune 500 companies through structural changes and launching new businesses. Sandy has advised and helped clients with cost restructuring, process simplification, re-engineering marketing and sales operations and large-scale M&A.
Sandy has her bachelor’s degree in business administration and rhetoric from UC Berkeley, and her MBA from the Wharton School of Business.
