Samuel Wong has an extensive work experience in the field of technology and finance. Samuel began their career as a Research Analyst at Financial Economics Institute in 2011, followed by a Life Actuarial Intern at Transamerica in 2012. In 2013, they joined Pacific Life as a Senior Actuarial Analyst and later moved to Chegg Inc. in 2017 as a Data Scientist II. In 2021, they took up the role of a Tech Lead at EvryNet and a Research Engineer at Stanford Future of Digital Currency Initiative. Currently, they are working as a Blockchain Security Researcher and Security Research Fellow at OpenZeppelin since 2022.

Samuel Wong obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Mathematics/Economics from Claremont McKenna College between 2009 and 2013. Samuel then obtained the CERA certification from the Society of Actuaries in June 2016, followed by the ASA certification from the Society of Actuaries in June 2015. Samuel currently holds a Master of Science (MS) in Statistics: Data Science from Stanford University, which they obtained between 2019 and 2021.
