Opera Philadelphia
Tim Stopper is an accomplished core singer with extensive experience in opera and choral music. Since September 2012, Tim has served as a core singer at Opera Philadelphia and as an expanded core singer with the Philadelphia Singers, performing major works such as "Carmina Burana" and "Messiah." Additional roles include singing as Valentin in Gounod's "Faust" at Opera Lancaster and leading the bass section at Christ Church and St. Mark's Church. Tim's background includes prior experience as a substitute chorister with the Opera Company of Philadelphia and as a music teacher at Greene Street Friends School. Educational qualifications consist of a Bachelor of Music Education from Westminster Choir College and Orff Level III certification from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
