Dr. Gerard D'Aversa is a distinguished OCLI Partner and Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive Surgeon at Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island, with experience since 1997. Expertise includes topical, sutureless clear corneal cataract surgery, femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery, corneal transplants, and laser vision correction. Prior to OCLI, Dr. D'Aversa served as a Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive Surgeon at Long Island Jewish Medical Center from 1994 to 1997 and held the position of Associate Professor of Ophthalmology. Education includes a Fellowship in Cornea and External Disease from the University of Florida College of Medicine and a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, alongside a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the University at Albany.
