Thomas Bates is currently working as a Senior Research Manager at Opinium since January 2022. Prior to this, Thomas held the same position at MetrixLab from May 2020 to January 2022. Before entering the research field, Thomas worked as a Strategist at Hall & Partners from October 2014 to May 2020. Thomas has also held positions as a Senior Analyst, Account Executive, and Graduate Account Executive. Thomas briefly worked as an Events Assistant at Wilton Park in 2013 and as an HR Clerical Assistant at Adur District and Worthing Borough Councils from 2012 to 2013. Thomas graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London with a degree in Ancient History and completed A Levels in History, Classical Studies, and French at Our Lady of Sion School in Worthing, West Sussex.
