Daniel Kohl is the Co-Head and Managing Director of Opportune Partners LLC. Daniel has over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
Daniel started their career at Chevron in 2014 as a Shale Technical Coordinator. In this role, they led Marcellus EUR improvement efforts and was responsible for supervising a small team, conducting multivariate production analysis to identify critical design and execution variables impacting production, conducting volumetric, geologic, and statistical analysis to support reserves booking efforts, interpreting and mapping 2D and 3D seismic data, and leading engineered completions technical initiatives. Daniel also attracted new talent to Chevron through university recruiting initiatives.
In 2015, Daniel transitioned to UBS where they served as a Director in the Acquisitions and Divestitures (A&D) team. In this role, they provided buy-side and sell-side advisory services and was responsible for Drillco and Project Financing.
In 2018, Daniel was promoted to Executive Director of A&D at UBS. In this role, they served as the technical team lead for the A&D team and was responsible for buy-side and sell-side advisory services, Drillco and Project Financing.
Daniel has a bachelor’s degree in Geology from Penn State University.
Daniel Kohl completed a MSc in Geology from Pennsylvania State University and a BS in Geology from Washington and Lee University. Daniel is also certified from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in Series 79.
