Joe Miller has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and industries. Joe most recently worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Optigo Networks starting in 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Financial Officer at Canstar Restorations from 2021 to 2022. From 2014 to 2019, Joe held the role of Chief Financial Officer at Airborne Engines Ltd, where they were responsible for managing the financial requirements of the business. Joe also served as the VP Finance at BrightPath Early Learning from 2011 to 2014, overseeing the financial reporting and planning for the company. Joe has also held positions as Director at Crosshair Exploration & Mining and Chief Financial Officer at Powerex Corp. and Crosshair Exploration and Mining. Earlier in their career, they worked in the Upstream Oil and Gas industry in accounting and financial reporting and planning roles. Joe brings extensive financial management experience, risk management skills, and expertise in strategic financial planning to their positions.
Joe Miller has a strong educational background in the field of accounting. In 1987, they attended Mount Royal University and obtained a degree in Business with a focus on Accounting. Following this, they pursued further education at the Society of Management Accountants of Alberta from 1989 to 1992, where they obtained a Professional Certification as a Certified Management Accountant. In 2004, Joe attended CICA and earned a Certificate in Corporate Controllership. Additionally, in 1992, they obtained the CPA, CMA certification from CPABC.
