Matthijs Snel

Matthijs Snel is a seasoned professional in the field of Artificial Intelligence, currently serving as Research Lead and previously as a Researcher at Optiver since December 2012. Matthijs has held the position of Visiting Researcher at the University of Tokyo from February 2010 to December 2012, and prior to that, owned Enova Web Development from 2005 to 2007, along with consulting roles at Accenture in both Argentina and The Netherlands. Educationally, Matthijs has earned a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from both the University of Amsterdam and The University of Edinburgh, where an additional MSc with Distinction in Artificial Intelligence was obtained. A BSc (Hons) in Science was completed at Utrecht University, complemented by an exchange program in Computer Science at UCLA in 2000.
