Robert Tomkys has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Robert started their career as a Training and Development Manager at Nightingale SCSA where they provided training to staff and helped them develop their existing skillsets. Later, they worked as a Training Officer at AJB Training and continued to provide learners with the skills needed in various areas.

Robert then transitioned to the role of Deputy Manager at Phones4u, where they supported the General Store Manager and team to meet set standards and create positive outcomes for customers. After the takeover by EE, they became an Assistant Manager and continued to support the General Store Manager and team in meeting business needs.

In 2016, Robert joined AJB Training again, this time as a Training and Development Officer. Robert delivered training to diverse groups, provided one-on-one support, and helped learners reach their full potential. Most recently, they have been working as a Software Support at Optix Software Ltd.

Throughout their career, Robert has consistently demonstrated patience, understanding, and a commitment to helping learners and teams develop their skills and succeed in their job roles.

Robert Tomkys began their education at Kingstone School from 2000 to 2005, where they obtained their GCSE qualification. Following this, they pursued further studies at Barnsley College from 2005 to 2007, specializing in ICT and earning a BTEC National Diploma in ICT.

This is the same team that will be installing your system; delivering training sessions and answering our support line whenever you need us. There’s more to running a business than just a good management system and we understand that as you grow, your needs will change. That’s why we’ve invested in providing numerous additional services based on our community’s needs. From VoIP, to broadband and individual bespoke training sessions; we offer many options allowing you to pick and choose what you want, when you want. We have no sales team – choosing to focus on our product and the Optix community. Optix has no initial license fees and no restrictive contract – our users stay because they choose to and together we improve our system. That’s why all Optix users are subscribed to our forum where they engage with other practices, seeking expertise or providing us with product suggestions. We also host an annual Optix conference, where hundreds of users gather for an informative few days out of the office, complete with celebrity speakers, musical performances and the latest Optix updates. The future will bring many changes and enhancements to our software, but one thing that will never change is our dedication to existing customers and to helping them succeed.
