Manuel Laguna is the founder of OptTek Systems, Inc., a company they started in 1992. Prior to that, they were the Director of Global Initiatives at the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder, a position they held since 1990.
Manuel Laguna obtained their Master of Science (MS) degree in Operations Research from The University of Texas at Austin from 1985 to 1987. Later, they pursued a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the same university, graduating in 1990.
