David Cheriton is a Silicon Valley entrepreneur and head of the Distributed Systems Group in the Computer Science Department at Stanford University. Cheriton co-founded Arista Networks, Inc., Kealia, Inc. (acquired by Sun Microsystems) and Granite Systems (acquired by Cisco), and was also an early investor in Google, Inc.
