Prafull Singhal is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in software development and engineering management. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Software Development at Oracle since September 2010, Prafull leads teams responsible for the control plane of the Autonomous Database cloud service and Exadata Cloud Service. Prior to Oracle, Prafull held the position of Sr. Engineering Manager at Sun Microsystems, where responsibilities included managing a team to create system management software to streamline operating system installations. Prafull's early career includes roles as a Senior Staff Engineer at SCO Corp, various consulting positions at Intel Corporation and 3COM Corporation, and a Senior Network Engineer at Metabyte. Prafull holds an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from MNNIT (formerly MNREC) Allahabad.

Oracle hardware products include Oracle Engineered Systems, servers, storage and industry-specific products, among others. Customers generally opt to purchase hardware support contracts when they purchase Oracle hardware products. Oracle also offers services to assist its customers and partners to maximize the performance of their Oracle purchases.
