Wayne Kaufman

Wayne Kaufman has extensive work experience in various legal roles. Wayne started their career as an Associate at Mintz & Fraade P.C., where they represented a variety of clients in negotiations and document drafting for business transactions. Wayne then joined Thelen Reid Brown Raysman & Steiner LLP as an Associate, providing legal support to Fortune 500 companies, investment banks, start-ups, and technology companies in corporate transactions.

After that, Kaufman worked as General Counsel at MusicVision, Inc., where they supervised all legal and business affairs transactions and initiatives for the company. Wayne later acted as Outside Legal Counsel for Axiom Foods, Inc. & Growing Naturals, LLC, providing legal support and advice to start-up companies.

Following this, Kaufman joined AIG, Inc. as an Associate General Counsel, providing transactional legal support to various global groups. Wayne then worked at KPMG US as an Assistant General Counsel, serving as legal counsel for the audit, tax, and advisory businesses of the company.

Currently, Kaufman holds the position of Senior Counsel, Data Privacy Officer, and Vice President at ORBCOMM. In this role, they manage the day-to-day operations of the legal group, provides transactional support for key organizational projects, and rewrites and negotiates key operating agreements with customers and service providers.

Wayne Kaufman completed their Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University at Albany, SUNY from 1989 to 1991. Wayne then pursued a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Brooklyn Law School, from 1994 to 1997. Prior to that, they attended Midwood High School at Brooklyn College from 1983 to 1987, where they participated in the Medical-Science Program. In addition to their formal education, Wayne Kaufman has also obtained the certification of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter from the CPCU Society.
