Killian Melle

Killian MELLE is a Senior Propulsion Design & Test Engineer at Orbex since January 2023, with prior experience as a Propulsion Test Engineer and Propulsion Design Engineer at Latitude, where contributions were made to the Navier Mk1 and Mk2 rocket engines. Previous roles at ArianeGroup included Mechanical and Fluid Systems Engineer on the THEMIS project and development of the Prometheus engine test facility, as well as Thermomechanical Calculations Engineer for Ariane 6. Killian also worked on the Aurora Liquid Engine project at ESO, successfully test-firing the engine in 2022. Leadership experience includes overseeing the Aeris II and Aeris I experimental rockets and involvement with the EOS team. Educational qualifications comprise a Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Ecole Supérieure des Techniques Aéronautiques et de Construction Automobile, and prior studies in Mathematics and Physics.
