Carlos Cardenas Daw has a diverse work experience in research and development roles. Carlos started their career as a Materials and Process Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace in 2005. Carlos then transitioned to academic roles as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research and Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. Moving back to industry, they held a leadership position as the Head of R&D - Multimaterials at Nemak. In their most recent roles at Koura and Orbia, they served as the Technology Development Director Fluor, Research & Development Sr Manager, and currently as the R&D Inorganic Materials Director at Orbia.
Carlos Cardenas Daw earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2001. Carlos then completed their Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Chemistry of Materials from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz in 2004. Finally, Carlos obtained their PhD in Chemistry from Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in 2011.
