Olaf also held the position of Assistant Store Manager and International E-Shop Manager during their time in the International Management Traineeship at AholdDelhaize. Additionally, they worked as a Business Consultant in BI & Analytics at Albert Heijn. Olaf has also gained experience as an Intern at Uppsala University, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and Universiteit van Amsterdam. Olaf worked as a Bartender at Restaurant Buurten and as an Assistant Slot Machine at Holland Casino. Olaf also served as an Intern at Schering Plough. Overall, Olaf has a well-rounded background in various industries and a strong focus on sustainability and technology in the food sector.
Olaf van der Veen received their Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Research and Development with a focus on Organic Chemistry from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (Hogeschool Utrecht) in the years 2005 to 2010. Olaf then pursued their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) between 2011 and 2013.
