Mark Bakken

Mark Bakken is currently the Director at Orbita. Mark has previous experience as the Co-Founder and CEO of Nordic Consulting Partners, Inc from January 2010 to December 2014. As the Co-Founder and CEO, they were responsible for the overall business which included sales, marketing, accounting, legal, human resources, technology, recruiting, partnering, and strategy. Before that, they were the VP of Information Systems at Cuna Mutual Insurance Group from January 2003 to December 2003. While at Cuna Mutual Insurance Group they were able to save $30M/year on their IT budget by consolidating technologies and optimizing processes. Prior to that they were the GM-Midwest at IIS from January 2002 to December 2002 where they helped with the smooth transition of Goliath customers to IIS. Mark began their career in 1987 as the IS Server Manager at University of Wisconsin - Department of Information Technology where they helped different departments on campus setup and network the first IBM DOS/Windows PCs at the University and connect them to the mainframe, Unix systems, and the internet. Mark also set up one of the first Novell Netware systems in Wisconsin. In August 2008 they became the Senior Vice President of Business Development at Tushaus Computer Services but only held that position until January 2009.

Mark Bakken received a BS in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
