Catherine Yin is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in immunology and drug development. Currently serving as an Expert Scientist and Principal Scientist at Orca Bio since March 2017, Catherine has previously worked at SRI International from January 2013 to February 2020 as a Research Scientist I, where responsibilities included designing autoimmune mouse models and client collaboration in drug testing. Prior to that, as a Postdoctoral Fellow, Catherine researched the role of Fyn in Th17 cell development and its potential in autoimmune disease treatment. Education includes a Ph.D. in Immunology and Virology from the University of Massachusetts Medical School and a BA in Biology, Pre-Med, and Chinese Studies from the College of the Holy Cross. Early career experience involved serving as a Research Assistant at the Joslin Diabetes Center, focusing on type 2 diabetes.
