Alex Jones

Alex Jones is a highly experienced professional in the field of quantum technologies, currently serving as the Head of Systems Modelling at ORCA Computing since April 2023. Previously, Alex held positions as a Senior Research Scientist at PsiQuantum and a Senior Research Associate at the University of Bristol, where significant contributions were made to theoretical and experimental projects on photonic quantum technologies while overseeing a research group. Alex has an extensive background in teaching and research, including roles as a Research Associate and Undergraduate Lecturer at the University of Bristol, and is recognized for successful grant applications and presentations at international conferences. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Quantum Optics and a Master of Research in Controlled Quantum Dynamics from Imperial College London, as well as a Master in Science in Physics from the University of Cambridge.
