Brett Hembrough is a seasoned marine operations professional currently serving as the Marine Operations Manager for PacWave at Oregon State University since February 2020. Prior to this role, Brett worked at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, first as the Arctic Cruise Coordinator from August 2016 to February 2020, where responsibilities included coordinating shipboard research support aboard the USCGC HEALY, and previously as a Staff Research Associate marine technician from January 2010 to August 2016, overseeing the planning and logistical support for scientific missions. Early career experiences include serving as a Research Diver and Laboratory Assistant at San Diego State University and as a Marine Science Instructor at Seacamp San Diego. Brett holds a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Psychology and Marine Biology from San Diego State University and an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and Management from Grossmont College.
