Christopher Viggiani currently serves as the Associate Vice President for Research Integrity and Director of University Policy and Standards at Oregon State University since January 2017. Previously, Christopher held various leadership roles at the National Institutes of Health from January 2012 to January 2017, including Director of the Biosafety and Biosecurity Policy Program and Executive Director of the National Science Advisory Board for Biosecurity. Earlier experience includes positions as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Health Science Policy Analyst at the NIH Office of Biotechnology Activities. Christopher's career began with a tenure at the American Association for the Advancement of Science as a Science and Technology Policy Fellow and included graduate studies at the University of Southern California. Christopher earned a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Southern California and a BS in Biology from Virginia Tech.
