Shervin Hess is an experienced conservation professional with a robust background in wildlife advocacy and media production. Currently serving as Conservation Manager at Oregon Zoo since August 2012, Shervin Hess leads advocacy and wildlife conservation strategies at local and global levels, integrating various departmental efforts focused on storytelling, community engagement, and species recovery. Previously, Shervin Hess held the position of Wildlife Advocacy Manager at the same organization, where a significant achievement included managing a high-performing social media program and award-winning video production. Earlier roles as Producer and Director at Oregon Public Broadcasting and Lion Television involved overseeing content creation and production for acclaimed national PBS series. Additionally, Shervin Hess gained experience through internships with WNET New York Public Media and the National Audubon Society, focusing on post-production and editorial tasks.
