Gamini Ranasinghe has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Gamini started their career as a Management Trainee at Automotive Springs Limited in 1997 and later became a Storekeeper. Gamini then worked as a Production Controller at Orient Distribution Systems (Pvt) Ltd from 2000 to 2004, followed by a role as a Procurement Manager at the same company in 2005. From 2007 to 2011, Gamini served as a Senior Logistics Manager at Orel Power (Pvt) Ltd. In 2011, they joined Orel MFG (Pvt) Ltd as the Head of Logistics before transitioning to the role of General Manager Logistics at OREL Corporation in 2012. At OREL Corporation, Gamini held various positions including Director of Business Development from 2017 to present and Director of Supply Chain Management from 2017 to 2020. During their time at OREL Corporation, they successfully implemented sales strategies, introduced new products, and led expansion initiatives. Gamini also focused on training and risk management to increase team productivity and minimize disruptions.
Gamini Ranasinghe holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Supply Chain and Logistics Management from Cardiff Metropolitan University. Gamini also obtained a Certificate in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from the Institute of Supply and Materials Management (ISMM), as well as a Diploma of Education in Degree/Diploma in Purchasing and Materials Management, also from the ISMM.
