Peter Bungum has extensive experience in research and education within agricultural and biological sciences. As an owner of Rask Metalworking, Peter combines design and fabrication expertise with a hands-on approach. Prior roles include welding and fabrication at Co-Motion Cycles and team leadership at Green Gear Cycling Inc., alongside academic positions as an adjunct biology instructor at multiple community colleges. Peter's early career at the U.S. Forest Service involved biological research on tree species and diseases. Peter holds a Master’s degree in Biology from the University of Oregon.

Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI)

Founded in 1997, the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) provides organic certifiers, growers, manufacturers, and suppliers an independent review of products intended for use in certified organic production, handling, and processing. OMRI is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. When companies apply, OMRI reviews their products against the USDA Organic or Canada Organic Regime standards. Acceptable products are OMRI Listed® and appear on the OMRI Products List. OMRI also provides subscribers and certifiers guidance on the acceptability of various material inputs in general under the organic standards.
