Davide Lombardo has held a variety of positions in the engineering field since 2012. From 2012 to 2016, they worked as a Machine Shop Intern at Smalux Sàrl. During 2016, they also held a position as a Student Researcher at The University of Göttingen. From 2016 to 2017, they worked as a Clinical Apps Engineer at ONWARD, where they developed software applications and deployed them in clinical trials. From 2017 to 2022, they were a Systems Engineer at ONWARD, where they were responsible for design control, driving test programs, and supporting system design intent definition. In 2022, they began working as a Senior Systems Engineer at Ori Biotech.
Davide Lombardo obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) between 2011 and 2014. Davide then went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Bioengineering / Neuroprosthetics from EPFL between 2014 and 2017. In addition, they hold certifications in System Architecting from the European Certified Precision Engineering Course Program (2019), Project Management Workshop from Rapp Training (2015) and Dayskipper Tidal from the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) (2012).
