Rúnar Sverrisson

Rúnar Sverrisson has a diverse range of work experience. Rúnar started their career at Tækniskólinn in 2012, where they taught mathematics at a high school level and also taught introductory courses on physics, chemistry, and IT. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as a Consultant at Deloitte Digital Nordic, gaining experience in various fields of software development through participation in different projects. In 2018, they joined Orienteed as a Software Developer, where they served as the technical lead for Valido, a monitoring platform for e-commerce businesses. In this role, they were responsible for architecting scalable cloud-first solutions, performing visual validation of websites, and implementing a React application for Valido.

Rúnar Sverrisson obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Háskóli Íslands, which they completed between 2008 and 2011. Afterwards, they pursued a Master's Degree in Mathematical modelling and computation at DTU - Technical University of Denmark from 2013 to 2015. In addition to their academic qualifications, Rúnar also obtained certifications as a CoreMedia Certified Front End Developer (CMCF) from CoreMedia in October 2020 and as an AWS Certified Developer - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in May 2020.
