Lachlan Crutchfield

Lachlan Crutchfield is a seasoned Control Systems Engineer currently serving in the Controls & Cybersecurity Team for Origin Energy's Generation & Development Business since February 2019. Previous roles at Origin Energy included Automation Engineer and Graduate Automation Engineer in the Integrated Gas sector. Educational achievements include a first-class honours degree in mechatronic engineering from Queensland University of Technology, complemented by foundational studies in international business. Lachlan's early career involved various positions in drilling and production operations, starting as Assistant Driller with Deepcore Drilling, and progressing through roles such as Floorhand with Weatherford and Lead Floorman with Energy Drilling Australia. Prior to engineering, Lachlan worked as a Senior Public Relations & Marketing Consultant at Gray Media Services Pty Ltd, developing strategic communications campaigns across multiple sectors.
