Weihang Gao

Weihang Gao has worked as a Data Scientist at Origin AI since January 2023. In this role, they have built data pipelines to analyze data and train ML/DL models, while also employing parallel computing and cloud computing for processing large-scale data.

Prior to that, Weihang served as a Teaching Assistant at The Johns Hopkins University from January 2022 to December 2022. They assisted instructors in teaching introductory data science courses, helping students understand and apply basic data analysis tools.

From January 2019 to April 2019, Weihang worked as a Course Tutor at the University of California San Diego, where they tutored undergraduate students in a core data science course. They taught students programming fundamentals in Java and provided assistance with course materials and coding assignments.

Before that, Weihang held a role as a Database Engineer at Tianjin Shenzhou general Data Technology Ltd in August 2018, where they wrote scripts to crawl online forums and cleaned text data. They also managed a large-scale database and executed SQL queries.

Weihang Gao holds a Master's degree in Data Science from The Johns Hopkins University. Weihang attended the university from 2021 to 2022. Prior to that, Weihang earned their Bachelor's degree in Data Science from UC San Diego. Weihang completed their undergraduate studies at UC San Diego between 2017 and 2021.
