Content Test Engineer

We’re looking for a talented Test Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the platform’s data quality and integrity!

This position is set to start from 1 April 2025.

What will you be doing?

As a Test Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of our content-focused team. You'll be crafting robust test plans and creating test files to validate data ingestion and storage. You’ll ensure data is being ingested and output exactly as specified by our Business Analysts. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with cutting-edge tools and technologies in a highly data-driven environment.

• Collaborating with Business Analysts, and the wider technical team, to deeply understand data workflows and expected outcomes.
• Querying de-identified versions of production samples to understand the data
• Creating and managing test plans to simulate read-world scenarios
• Creating and managing test files to support those test cases
• Executing the test plans using the test files
• Reporting findings to the development team and working with them to ensure they are resolved.
• Leveraging Jupyter Notebooks for repeatability.

What you’ll bring to the table:

• At least 3+ years of experience in testing or a related field.
• Proven skills in SQL and Python scripting.
• Familiarity with Database tools (eg: DBeaver), API Testing tools (eg: Postman) and, ideally, Jupyter Notebooks.
• A passion for exploratory testing, uncovering issues others might miss.
• Exceptional critical thinking skills with the ability to approach challenges creatively.
• Energy, enthusiasm, and imagination to bring fresh ideas and perspectives to the team.
