Litouri Smith has extensive experience in the education sector. They started their career as a Mentor Teacher at Algiers Technology Academy in 2007. They then joined Algiers Charter Schools Association as a Master Content Instructional Specialist in 2011. In 2012, they became a School Principal Fellow at Crescent City Schools. They went on to serve as the School Principal at Paul Habans Charter School from 2013 to 2016. After that, they held several roles at Orleans Parish School Board, including Director Of Administrative Services, Director Of Special Projects, Director of School Support, and Executive Director of School Support and Operations. Currently, they are working as a Senior Student and Schools Officer at NOLA Public Schools since 2019.
Litouri Smith attended Xavier University of Louisiana from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology. From 2009 to 2011, Smith pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Educational Leadership at the American College of Education.
