The Investigations Team at the Orleans Public Defenders Office is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and presenting critical evidence to support the defense of OPD's nearly 20,000 court-appointed clients each year. This team, comprising both seasoned staff investigators and interns, conducts in-depth fieldwork, interviews witnesses, collects and reviews documents, and collaborates closely with attorneys to build robust, client-centered defense strategies.
