George Arubi is an accomplished software engineer with extensive experience in full-stack development and open-source contributions. Currently serving as a Founding Engineer at Rollout.io and as an Open Source Developer at Oroko Radio, George actively enhances features and maintains web components for a non-profit online community radio. Previously, George led the redesign and development of a component-based admin console at Musicbuk, resulting in a 20% increase in scalability and GMV. Additionally, experience includes developing a music separation API widget at AudioShake, improving user interface design at USO, and providing network systems support at NipeX-NNPC. George holds a Master of Science in Software Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Marymount University.

Oroko Radio
Oroko is a not-for-profit independent internet radio station based in Accra, Ghana. We aim to connect, inspire and empower through conversation, collaboration and community. Our global platform is for African and Diasporic voices to be heard, in our own words. We aim to reclaim and recenter narratives from the African and Diasporic artistic communities, with a particular focus on local perspectives in Accra, in addition to cultivating and nurturing relationships with like-minded projects across the globe. Oroko Radio will shine a spotlight on alternative sounds and thoughts coming from, and influenced by the Continent.
