Jim H.

Jim H. is a seasoned GIS professional with extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly in offshore wind farm development. Currently serving as a Senior GIS Specialist at Ørsted since September 2018, Jim specializes in managing gigawatt scale offshore wind projects in the US. Previous roles include Director at Hunter GIS Ltd and GIS Technician at Forest Research, where skills in remote sensing and open data dissemination were honed. Earlier experience at Xodus Group as GIS Lead involved comprehensive support for marine energy projects and GIS systems development. Prior positions at ERM and Scottish Executive contributed to expertise in both terrestrial and marine environmental impact assessments. Jim holds an MSc in Marine Resource Development & Protection from Heriot-Watt University and a BSc (Hons) in Wildlife Management from The University of Edinburgh.
