Joe was born and raised in Centennial, Colorado. He attended Dordt College (University) in Sioux Center Iowa where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology. He was an active participant in track & field and soccer throughout his college career. He transitioned back to Colorado to begin at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in the Child Health Associate/Physician Assistant program. Joe graduated with his Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2015 and immediately joined Front Range Orthopedics & Spine. Joe primarily participates in upper extremity surgery but is experienced in sports medicine, total joint replacement, trauma, and spine surgery. Outside of orthopedics, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, backpacking, hiking, and enjoying the beautiful Colorado landscape.
