Marc Singer

Managing Partner at Osage University Partners

Marc started working with Bob and Lou in late 2007 to develop and launch OUP. Along with the other Managing Partners, Marc is responsible for overseeing and approving all Partnership investments and all other Partnership and organizational activities. Marc focuses on technology investments, and along with Bill, is responsible for day to day execution of the Partnership. At the present time, Marc serves on the boards of Infinio, Psikick, and Streetlight Data. Marc previously served on the boards of OUP portfolio companies MC10 and Paracosm. Marc has spent over 25 years in venture capital. In 1993, he joined Consumer Venture Partners, an early stage venture capital firm that invested in young consumer businesses. In 1997, Marc co-founded BEV Capital with two colleagues from Consumer Venture Partners and served as a General Partner. From 1997 to 2007, BEV raised and invested over $200 million in over 40 companies and co-invested with over 100 other venture capital firms. BEV initially focused on making early stage consumer investments. Over time, Marc transitioned away from investing in the consumer sector and focused on building a technology portfolio for BEV.

Marc is co-Chairman of the Selection Advisory Board for GreenLight Philadelphia, a venture philanthropy firm, he serves on the Advisory Board for the Center for Employment Opportunities in Philadelphia, and he is a volunteer for HIAS-PA.

Marc earned his B.S. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, summa cum laude in 1993.

Marc resides in Penn Valley, PA with his wife Leah and three children.
