Shayla Rose

Shayla Rose is a Senior Autonomy Engineer at Oshkosh Corporation, where responsibilities include component testing, electrical design, and system testing as part of various engineering rotations focusing on autonomy and active safety. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, contributing to autonomous mobility simulations and computer vision research. Shayla also held a Research and Development Co-op position at Southern Company, where research included demand response and bi-directional electric vehicle charging, along with data analytics and sustainability presentations. Additional experience includes roles as an Engineering Student Ambassador and Supervising Aquatics. Shayla holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
