Omar Cardoza is a designer at Otak since January 2022, with prior experience in academia as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Washington State University from August 2018 to May 2021, where responsibilities included facilitating design concepts through Zoom, advising students in SketchUp, and overseeing fabrication projects. Additional roles at the university included contributions as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Fabrication Shop, focusing on construction drawings, and serving as a Digital Fabrication Lab Technician, maintaining laser cutting machines and 3D printers. Omar also gained practical experience as a Project Engineer Intern at Tri-Ply Construction LLC, enhancing workflow coordination and resolving design issues in collaboration with stakeholders. Educational credentials include a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Washington State University, as well as an Associate of Arts from Yakima Valley College.
