Sr. Manager Leads Solutions And Sustaining Software at OTT HydroMet

David Johnston has a strong background in software engineering and research and development. David most recently served as the Director of Research and Development at OTT HydroMet from June 2018 onwards. Prior to that, they held similar leadership roles at Sutron, IPS MeteoStar, and Raytheon Intelligence and Information Systems, where they gained experience in the field of software engineering and held positions such as Director of Software Engineering and Senior Software Engineer.

David Johnston earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, where they studied from 1990 to 1994. David then pursued their Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science at the University of Denver from 1994 to 1997. Alongside their MS degree, they also completed an MBA from the University of Denver - Daniels College of Business, specializing in Business, during the same period. In 2013, David obtained the certifications of Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from the Scrum Alliance. In 2017, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
